Dr. Burnap received her Bachelor of Science degree from Michigan State University. She received her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree in 1992 from the Doctor William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago, IL. She finished her podiatric surgical residency at Thorek Hospital and Medical Center, Chicago, in 1993, and is board certified in foot surgery by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery. She is a member of the American and Nebraska Podiatric Medical Associations.  Dr. Burnap received her law degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and passed the Nebraska State bar in 1997.
